Delbarton earns MCT top seed

Defending champion Delbarton earned the No.1 seed at the Morris County Tournament seeding meeting on Tuesday.

Chatham is seeded second, Mountain Lakes third and Roxbury, in its highest seed in school history at No. 4. Madison, Morristown, Morristown-Beard and Randolph round out the top eight.

Most preliminary round games are scheduled for Saturday. The opening round is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2 and the quarterfinals are on Thursday, May 4 at the site of the higher seeded team. The semifinals are on Saturday, May 6 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Montville High School and the finals on May 8 at FDU-Madison in a 7:30 p.m. start.

Winner of No. 20 Parsippany Hills (1-7) at No. 13 Montville (5-6) plays at No. 4 Roxbury (8-1).

Winner of No. 19 Morris Catholic (2-6) at No. 14 Morris Knolls (3-6) at No. 3 Mountain Lakes (8-1).

No. 11 West Morris (1-8) plays at No. 6 Morristown (7-4).

No. 10 Mount Olive (4-6) plays at No. 7 Morristown-Beard (5-5).

Winner of No. 18 Pequannock  (0-10) at No. 15 Boonton (7-3) plays at No. 2 Chatham (9-1).
