Madison edges Caldwell; St. E’s triumphs


Catherine Crowley scored six goals and dished two assists and Leah Rutland had three goals including the eventual game-winner in Madison’s 14-13 win over Caldwell in girls lacrosse on Wednesday.

Ginny Taylor scored two goals and Charlotte Biedermann, Claire Culligan and Isabelle O’Connor also tallied for Madison (2-1).

St. Elizabeth 12, Parsippany Hills 5

Bella Ferriso had seven goals and two assists in the Panthers’ triumph. Mia Ferriso added a hat trick for St. Elizabeth. Molly Ward scored twice for the Vikings.

Mount Olive 16, Villa Walsh 8

Grace Hollis and Gina Verrone scored four goals each to lift the Marauders. Devon Halihan added a hat trick and Madison Palumbo scored twice for Mount Olive. Victoria Colledge had four goals for the Vikings.

Montclair 17, West Morris 13

Cassidy Orban scored seven goals and Lauren Hamilton and Holly Redinger scored hat tricks for the Wolfpack.

Ridgewood 11, Mountain Lakes 4

Sarah Monteleone, Erin O’Neil, Lauren Sammaro and Brenna Wilson connected for the Lakers.

Chatham 8, Northern Highlands 7

Abby Morgan scored four goals and Schuyler Bixby had two goals and one assist to fuel the Cougars. Catherine McNiff and Zoe Kraus also connected and goalie Kat Friday stopped 16 shots. Chatham led 5-3 at the half.

Verona 16, Morris Knolls 11

Krista Mitarotonda had five goals and Kate Wells had a hat trick for the Golden Eagles.

Roxbury 12, Morris Hills 1

Emma Karnitsky had a hat trick and registered her 100th career varsity goal. She is the seventh Gaels player to reach that milestone. Emily Koepfler also had three goals and Sadie Wilson scored twice for Roxbury.

Morristown 15, West Essex 5

The Colonials improve to 4-0. Annika Begley had three goals and three assists to pace Morristown. Callie Sundin added a hat trick and Sarah Grace Plott and Nicole Ferrara had two goals apiece for the Colonials.

Governor Livingston 12, Pequannock 9

Lexi Robinson had a hat trick and Casey Santini scored twice for the Golden Panthers (1-2).
