Mount Olive, Mendham, Mountain Lakes girls advance

Sarah McEvoy’s 7-goal performances paced Mount Olive to a 17-9 victory over Pascack Valley in Group III girls lacrosse state tournament action. Gina Verrone scored six times. Anna Murray scored twice and Dalyn Nicoletti and Amber Gonzalez also netted goals for the Marauders.

Mendham 16, Paramus 1

Meredith Curtin scored five goals and dished three assists to lift the Minutemen. Christine Long had four goals and three assists including her 200th career point. Brooke Phillips added a hat trick for Mendham. The Minutemen play Chatham in Tuesday’s quarterfinal.

Verona 14, Pequannock 10

Jessica Carbone and Samantha Murray each fired hat tricks for the Golden Panthers in Group I action.

Mountain Lakes 16, Saddle Brook 1

Jill Boehmcke scored twice for the top-seeded Lakers. Faith Reilly and Breanna Wilson also added goals. Mountain Lakes hosts Verona in the quarterfinals.

Chatham 16, Old Tappan 0

Paige Guenther fired a hat trick to lead the second-seeded Cougars. Emily Wingate, Emilie DeKeyzer and Beth Kuyk had two goals apiece for Chatham. The Cougars host Mendham next.

Hopewell Valley 20, Morris Hills 4

Jenna Draney scored twice for the 14th-seeded Scarlet Knights.

Hunterdon Central 15, Randolph 4

The Rams fall to 5-11 with the loss.

Boys Lacrosse

Delbarton 19, Red Bank Catholic 5

Stephen Decker, Wade Agaisse, Chet Comizio, James Santoro, Ryan Ford and Michael Rutter scored two goals each for the Green Wave in opening round Non-Public A action. Delbarton hosts Don Bosco Prep in the next round on Wednesday
