Mount Olive edges Morristown; Madison triumphs

Lucas O’Keeffe scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Matt Sanchez with less than 10 minutes remaining to lift Mount Olive to a 6-5 triumph over Morristown in boys lacrosse action on Thursday.

Sanchez had two goals and goalkeeper Kevin Geiger stopped 15 shots. Adam Gonzalez, Tyler McCreery and Griffin Shira also connected. Kendall Rogers had a pair of goals to pace the Colonials.

Madison 11, Montville 4

Pat Grahling had three goals and three assists to pace the Dodgers. Ryan Schmitz and Ian Waresk added two goals each and Will Anton and Justin Dalena also tallied for Madison. Graham Jespersen had a hat trick for the Mustangs.

Morris Knolls 16, Lenape Valley 6

The Golden Eagles are 10-6. Parker Campbell had four goals and two assists and Scpt Wells and Shane Dougherty had hat tricks for Morris Knolls.

West Morris 17, Morristown-Beard 8

Ryan Pruss scored four goals and Cooper Sloan scored twice including his 100th varsity goal for the Wolfpack. Garrett Izzo added a hat trick for West Morris. Connor Morin scored four times for the Crimson.

Boonton 18, Morris Catholic 8

Austin Van Zant’s 6-goal outburst paced the Bombers. Frank Rao aded four goals and Connor Davis had a hat trick. Matt Graziano scored four times including his 100th varsity goal for the Crusaders.

Mountain Lakes 15, Montclair 4

The Lakers led 9-0 at the half. The win lifted Mountain Lakes to 11-5.

Randolph 14, Oratory Prep 5

Luc Swedlund had six goals and two assists to spark the Rams. Max Pinilis had three goals and two assists and Jake Southren had two goals and two assists for Randolph.

Parsippany Hills 10, Parsippany 9

The Vikings led 9-7 going into the final period. With the win, Parsippany Hills swept the season series with its cross-town rivals.

Roxbury 19, Kittatinny 2

David Biank and Paul Shadel fired hat tricks to lift the Gaels. Bryan Thompson, Aaron Loschiavo and Ryan Carestia had two goals each for Roxbury.

Girls lacrosse

Madison 17, Kinnelon 10

The Dodgers pulled away by outscoring the Colts 10-5 in the second half.

Montville 13, Jefferson 9

Claudia Trionfo had four goals and two assists and Nicole Feaster added four goals for the Mustangs. Kendra Nolan and Megan Smith had two goals each for the Falcons.

Parsippany 13, Parsippany Hills 7

Catherine Lanigan fired a hat trick as the Red Hawks defeated their cross-town rivals. Michelle LaCapra scored twice and Abby Smith and Stephanie Hernandez also tallied. Victoria DiMaggio scored four times for the Vikings.
