Mo-Beard, Mt. Lakes boys, Mt. Olive girls triumph

Morriscountylacrosse

Connor Morin scored twice including the eventual game-winner with four minutes left in regulation to lift Morristown-Beard to a 14-13 win over Mendham in boys lacrosse action on Monday.

Mack Iuliano scored five times and Sam Hartfeld netted a pair of goals for the Crimson. Coach Sal Tromonda gained his 50th win as Morristown-Beard varsity coach. Jack Anderson had five goals and Drew Robshaw added four goals for the Minutemen.

Mountain Lakes 8, Chatham 7

Jake Spagnola scored with 2:42 left in regulation to lift the Lakers to victory. Trevor Benedetto had two goals and an assist, Chet Morgis scored twice and Brendan Monteleone, Chris Boyhan and Matt Palazzi also added goals for Mountain Lakes.

Austin Pierce fired a hat trick and Matt Coleman had two goals and an assist for the Cougars.

Pequannock 8, Madison 5

Jesse Yurga’s 4-goal performance sparked the Golden Panthers. Matt Gallo, Jared Dolak, Liam Lilienthal and Cole Cherenson added goals for Pequannock. Will Anton had a hat trick for the Dodgers.

Morristown 10, Pope John 2

Brad Greik scored four goals in the Colonials’ triumph. Connor Schwerdt and Joe Doherty scored two goals each and Kendall Rogers had a goal and four assists for Morristown.

Roxbury 10, Morris Knolls 7

Matt Dancsecs scored six goals to fuel the Gaels’ victory. Paul Shadel added a hat trick. Roxbury broke a 4-4 tie with four consecutive third-quarter goals. Shane Dougherty had five goals for the Golden Eagles.

Mount Olive 6, Vernon 4

The Marauders improve to 7-3. Griffin Shira had two goals and David Baraniuk, Alex Maya, Tyler McCreery and Jackson Tives added goals for Mount Olive.

Boonton 12, Newton 11

Frank Rao’s game-winner in triple overtime provided the difference for the Bombers. Connor Davis notched six goals and Austin Van Zant had a hat trick for Boonton (5-4).

West Morris 11, Bernards 6

The Wolfpack led 3-2 after the first quarter and scored eight consecutive goals over the next two periods.

Park Regional 16, High Point 2

Park is 9-0. Jack Crane scored six goals and Cole Giammanco had a goal and two assists for Park Regional. Park scored seven consecutive second quarter goals to take a 9-1 halftime advantage.

Jefferson 16, Hackettstown 3

Ian Prezwodek and Alex Leming fired hat tricks for the Falcons. Zak Sparks had two goals and three assists and Ray Amsden and Matt Wacker had two goals each. Jefferson is 8-1.

Randolph 16, Lenape Valley 3

Matt Holland had three goals and two assists to pace the Rams. Luc Swedlund had two goals and three assists and Jake Southren and Dom Scali added two goals each.

Morris HIlls 14, Morris Catholic 4

Patrick Delle and Dean Fitzgerald scored four goals each to fuel the Scarlet Knights’ win. Jacob Sarrel added two goals and three assists and Jack Binkoski added a goal and six assists for Morris Hills. Adam Wagner scored twice for the Crusaders.

Girls Lacrosse

MCT

Morris Catholic 18, Parsippany Hills 1

Rachel Petruska had four goals and one assist in the Crusaders’ preliminary round contest. Haley Driscoll had three goals and an assist and Rachel Mills finished with four assists for the 14th-seeded team. Audrey Lee scored the lone goal for the Vikings in their MCT debut.

Kittatinny 13, Park Regional 5

Park drops to 3-5.

Pope John 19, Boonton 0

The Bombers are 0-9.

Mount Olive 16, Governor Livingston 4

Sarah McEvoy had seven goals and two assists and Amber Gonzalez had two goals and three assists to help the Marauders remain unbeaten.
