Mountain Lakes, Chatham take top seeds in girls MCT

Mountain Lakes (6-1) earned the top seed and defending champion Chatham (5-3) the second at the Morris County Tournament seeding meeting for girls lacrosse that was held on Thursday.

Mendham (4-4) and West Morris Central (3-4) rounded out the top four seeds. Play begins this weekend with preliminary games. First round games must be played by Saturday April 30. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Tuesday, May 3, semifinals for Thursday May 5 and the title game is on Saturday, May 7. The semifinals and finals are scheduled for Montville High School.

Last year Chatham defeated Mountain Lakes 7-6 in a double overtime thriller.

No. 9 Pequannock (5-3) plays at No. 8 Madison (3-3)

Winner of No. 21 Academy of St. Elizabeth (2-6) at No. 12 Jefferson (5-4) plays at No. 5 Morristown (5-4).

Winner of No. 20 Morristown-Beard (1-6) at No. 13 Randolph (3-3) plays at No. 4 West Morris Central (3-4).

Winner of No. 19 Parsippany Hills (2-1) at No. 14 Morris Catholic (2-5) plays at No. 3 Mendham (4-4).

Winner of No. 22 Boonton (0-8) at No. 11 Morris Knolls (4-5) plays at No. 6 Mount Olive (8-0).

Winner of No. 23 Parsippany (0-6) at No. 10 Kinnelon (3-3) plays at No. 7 Roxbury (5-3).

Winner of No. 18 Park Regional (3-3) at No. 15 Montville (2-6) plays at No. 2 Chatham (5-3).
