Madison remains unbeaten; Mt. Lakes, Jefferson win

Justin Dalena’s fourth-quarter goal provided the difference in Madison’s 7-6 win over Mount Olive in boys lacrosse action on Saturday.

Ryan Schmitz had three goals and two assists, Ian Waresk scored twice and Will Anton also connected for the unbeaten Dodgers (6-0). Griffin Shira scored twice and Matt Sanchez had a goal and three assists for the Marauders.

Delbarton 13, Malvern Prep 11

The Green Wave is 6-1. Garret Samuelson scored five times to fuel the Delbarton triumph. The Green Wave rallied from a 7-6 halftime deficit. Colin Crowley contributed a hat trick.

Mountain Lakes 5, Kinnelon 4

Chet Morgis had three goals and two assists and Trevor Benedetto scored twice for the Lakers. Austin Tighe had two goals and two assists and Josephy Ballai and Mike Elefonte added goals for the winless Colts.

Morris Hills 15, High Point 2

Jack Binkoski fired a hat trick and dished four assists for the Scarlet Knights. Morris Hills had a 9-0 halftime lead. Jason Martin also added a hat trick and Jacob Sarrel and Evan Turner had two goals each.

Vernon 10, Morris Knolls 5

The Golden Eagles are 4-3. Parker Campbell and Shane Dougherty had two goals apiece.

Morristown 7, Pequannock 4

Andrew Chilson and Kendall Rogers each had a pair of goals to spark the Colonials. Brad Greik, Tom Ferrara and Joe Doherty also connected for Morristown (6-1).

Randolph 16, Kittatinny 0

Matt Holland had four goals and two assists and Jake Southren and Eric Jensen added hat tricks for the Rams.

Jefferson 9, Boonton 8

The Falcons are 5-0. Zak Sparks, Ian Prezwodek and Trevor Rozmus scored two goals each. Ray Amsden, Tyler Devito and Peter Chrzanowski added goals for Jefferson. Connor Davis had four goals and one assist and Zach Esker scored twice. The game was tied 4-4 at the half and close throughout.

Morris Catholic 9, Hackettstown 7

The Crusaders are 6-2. Carl Wendt scored four goals and Adam Wagner had three goals and two assists for Morris Catholic. Matthew Graziano had a goal and three assists. The Crusaders rallied from a 5-1 halftime deficit.

New Providence 10, Montville 3

Dan Ackaway and Graham Jesperson connected for the Mustangs.

Park Regional 16, Newton 2

Kevin Goettlich’s 9-goal performance paced Park. Brandon Gorman added a hat trick and Cole Giammanco had a goal and five assists for unbeaten Park (7-0).

Chatham 16, Morristown-Beard 6

Austin Pierce fired a hat trick to spur the Cougars. Thomas Berger, Matt Coleman and Mac Bredahl had two goals each for Chatham. Connor Morin and Brad Finnegan each had a goal and an assist.

Girls Lacrosse

Mount Olive 12, Villa Walsh 8

The Marauders are 7-0. Gina Verrone had four goals and two assists and Sarah McEvoy had a hat trick to pace Mount Olive. Victoria Esposito had four goals and Maddie Colledge had a goal and an assist for the Vikings.

Park Regional 10, North Warren 7

Cassidy Caputo had five goals and Amanda Hoberman had four goals and two assists to fuel the Park triumph.

West Morris 10, Kent Place 8

The win evens the Wolfpack at 3-3. Cassidy Orban had six goals and Holly Reidinger had two goals and two assists.

Morris Hills 13, High Point 11

The Scarlet Knights move to 6-1. Nicole Rizzo had four goals and Kellyann Gangaware had two goals and one assist for Morris Hills.
