Morris Knolls boys, Madison girls earn victories


Shane Dougherty fired a hat trick and Andrew Yenesel had a goal and three assists to lift Morris Knolls to a 7-3 win over Montville in boys lacrosse on Friday. Reed Pelliconi had a goal and two assists and Matt Mitarotonda and Max Klebbs also connected for the Golden Eagles (10-6). Alec Lewis, Jason Archer and Cameron Zurawlow scored goals for the Mustangs.

Pequannock 9, Glen Rock 5

Bryan Peters had three goals and three assists to spark the Golden Panthers (6-8).

Jefferson 8, Morris Catholic 5

Matt Bush scored twice and Trevor Rozmus had two goals and an assist to propel the Falcons. Alex Lansing added a goal and two assists for Jefferson (11-7). Matt Graziano had two goals and an assist for the Crusaders.

Girls lacrosse

Madison 10, Verona 8

The Dodgers are 9-6. Catherine Crowley connected four times to fuel the Madison triumph. Lauren Taylor added a hat trick and Laney Rutland, Amanda DaSilva an Kaitlyn DaSilva added goals.

Roxbury 12, Montville 9

Mia Sadowski’s hat trick gave the Gaels a lift. Courtney Lang’s free position shot with 4:17 remaining broke a 9-9 tie. Emily Kopfer, Riley Cummis and Emma Karnitsky added two goals apiece for Roxbury (11-3). Zoe Tabakan scored four goals for the Mustangs.

Caldwell 15, Kinnelon 14, OT

Talia Price, Ashley Bobinski and Jamie Lewit each scored three goals for the Colts.
