Randolph upsets Kinnelon; Mt. Olive edges Roxbury in MCT action


Tyler McReery scored two goals including the game-winning goal with eight minutes remaining to lift Mount Olive to a 7-6 victory over Roxbury in Morris County Tournament action on Tuesday.

Mark Laratta had two goals and two assists and Griffen Shira, Alex Maya and Adam Gonzales had one goal apiece for the ninth-seeded Marauders (8-5). Dave Biank had a hat trick and Eric D’Arminio, Matthew Fiebel and Anthony Perhacs connected for the eighth-seeded Gaels.

West Morris 7, Pequannock 3

Garrett Izzo scored five goals to fuel the Wolfpack triumph. Ryan Antonelle had a goal and three assists and James Bissell added a goal for fifth-seeded West Morris. Bryan Peters, Liam Lilienthal and Jesse Yurga connected for the 12th-seeded Golden Panthers.

Mountain Lakes 14, Montville 3

Will Ratchford, Trevor Benedietto, Brendan Monteleione and Ryan Frawley scored two goals each for the second-seeded Lakers. Mountain Lakes led 10-1 at the half. Graham Jesperson and Alec Lewis connected for the 15th-seeded Mustangs.

Chatham 15, Mendham 7

The third-seeded Cougars led 5-0 after the first quarter and 10-2 at the half. Chander Avellone, Jack Anderson and Harrison Mauer scored two goals apiece for the 14th-seeded Minutemen.

Morristown-Beard 14, Morris Knolls 8

The fourth-seeded Crimson are 12-2. Thomas Rago netted four goals and Chris Glancy, John McDonald and Connor Morin had hat tricks for fourth-seeded Morristown-Beard. Goalie Matt Sefcik stopped 18 shots and made the 800th save in his varsity career.

Randolph 8, Kinnelon 4

The 11th-seeded Rams led 6-2 at the half. Jake Southern had four goals and one assist and Max Pinilis had a hat trick to pace the Rams (9-7). Randolph took control early with five first-quarter goals.
