ML boys, Mendham girls earn victories over rivals

Ryan Frawley scored four goals and Brad Smith contributed two goals and four assists to lift Mountain Lakes to a 10-8 victory over Chatham in boys lacrosse action on Saturday.

Trevor Benedetto scored two goals and Anthony Smith and Jake Spagnola also connected for Mountain Lakes. Austin Pierce had three goals and one assist, Evan Bernard had two goals and one assist and Will Barnett scored twice for the Cougars.

Pequannock 8, West Morris 3

A 5-goal second quarter provided the difference for the Golden Panthers. Hunter Soden and Liam Lilienthal scored three goals apiece for Pequannock. Cooper Sloan, Kyle Skurchak and Tyler Kren connected for the Wolfpack.

Watchung Hills 13, Montville 4

The Mustangs drop to 1-4.

Pingry 15, Madison 9

Austin Sterkel fired a hat trick, A. J. Schmitz had two goals and three assists and Vince Sapio scored twice for the Dodgers.

Hillsborough 7, Randolph 2

Max Pinilis and Luc Swedlund connected for the Rams.

Girls Lacrosse

Ridge 10, Mountain Lakes 6

Sarah Bedard and Rachel Treweeke scored two goals each and Hannah Cronk and Granger Rosati also connected for the Lakers.

Mendham 12, West Morris 6

The Minutemen are 3-1. Christine Graziano and Carly Maita each had three goals and two assists for Mendham against its sister-school rivals. Christine Long and Meri Curtin also had hat tricks for the Minutemen. Kirstin Sona scored twice for West Morris.

Morris Hills 12, Vernon 8

Casey Lyness scored six goals to pace the Scarlet Knights. Kyleigh Miller added two goals and Shaye Clark and Jenna Gallagher had a goal and an assist for Morris Hills.

Saddle River Day 16, Jefferson 8

Megan Smith had a hat trick and Kendra Nolan and Brianne Sekula each scored two goals.The Falcons are 1-4.

Pequannock 15, DePaul 1

The Golden Panthers led 12-1 at the break. Arden Kassaleh scored five goals and Danielle Musto, Jessica Carbone and Lauren Burklow had two goals each for Pequannock (1-4).

Pingry 15, Kinnelon 5

Talia Price scored four goals and Victoria Bobinski added a score for the Colts.
