ML boys win in OT; Villa girls topple Pequannock


Brad Landry scored on a Ryan Frawley assist to lift Mountain Lakes to a 13-12 overtime triumph over Bergen Catholic in a snow filled contest.

Bergen Catholic tied the game with 25 seconds remaining on Mike Reilly’s goal.

Frawley and Landry both registered hat tricks. Brad Smith had two goals and three assists and Davis Thompson scored a pair of goals for the Lakers.

Summit 5, Chatham 0

The Cougars dropped to 2-1 in a game that was scoreless for the first half. Goalies Matt Grilli and Matt Nestler shared five saves.

Morristown-Beard 18, Caldwell 10

The Crimson are 3-0. Teddy Hatfield had six goals and three assists and Thomas Rago had five goals and three assists for Morristown-Beard. The Crimson took an 8-3 first-quarter lead and slowly pulled away.

Boonton 15, Hawthorne 0

Frank Rao and Austin Van Zant had three goals and three assists each in the Bombers’ triumph. Sean Durkin also posted a hat trick and Nick Lourick had a goal and four assists.

Ridgewood 11, Kinnelon 3

John Belanger, Mike Belefonte and Devin Ditaranto tallied for the Colts.

West Morris 11, Bernards 8

A 4-1 third-quarter effort gave the Wolfpack a 10-6 edge going into the final period. West Morris is 1-1.

Mount Olive 14, Montville 4

Matt Sanchez had three goals and two assists to pace the Marauders. Marc Laratta and Alec Oriolo scored two goals each for Mount Olive (2-1). The Marauders took control early with a 7-1 first-quarter run. Brendan Kelly scored twice for the Mustangs.

North Warren 8, Jefferson 3

The Falcons are 1-2. Matt Bush, Peter Chrzanowski and Rozmus Trevor connected for Jefferson.

Johnson 14, Morris Hills 11

Zach Berkowitz scored seven goals, Patrick McAndrew scored three goals and Logan Sickles had a goal and two assists for the Scarlet Knights (1-2). Johnson led 9-4 at the half.

Delbarton 18, West Essex 5

Ryan Onderdonk, Michael Rutter and Connor Kirst scored four goals apiece for the unbeaten Green Wave. Keegan Khan added a pair of goals and four other Delbarton players had single tallies. The Green Wave is 3-0.

Morris Knolls 5, Governor Livingston 3

The Golden Eagles are 2-0. Matt Mitarotonda had two goals and one assist and Sean Statlander notched a pair of goals for Morris Knolls. Reed Pelliconi also added a goal for the Golden Eagles.

Randolph 8, Pope John 7, OT

Max Pinilis connected with three minutes left in overtime to lift the Rams (1-1). Pinilis had a hat trick. Jake Southren and Brian Gleeson scored two goals each and Zach Elvins added a goal for Randolph.

Morristown 8, Montclair Kimberley 6

Brad Greik’s four-goal performance paced the Colonials. Morristown led 3-1 at halftime. Kendall Rogers scored twice and Drew Chilson and Dan Delargy also tallied.

Girls Lacrosse

Villa Walsh 12, Pequannock 8

Annie Collett and Victoria Esposito fired hat tricks and Victoria Colledge scored twice to lift the Vikings. Arden Kassaleh paced the Golden Panthers with six goals.

Ridge 20, Morristown 12

Allie Ferrara had three goals and two assists, Casey O’Brien had a hat trick and Meghan Siverson had two goals and three assists for the Colonials.

Millburn 10, Morris Hills 9

The Scarlet Knights are 1-1. Kyleigh Miller and Casey Lyness scored three goals apiece.

Oak Knoll 20, Madison 5

Lauren Taylor fired a hat trick and Amanda DaSilva and McKenzie Rambusch scored for the Dodgers.
