Mendham girls prevail; Mountain Lakes falls to Moorestown

Mendham scored six second-half goals to defeat Red Bank Catholic 10-4 in girls lacrosse action on Saturday.

Carlye Maita fired a hat trick and Christine Long, Christine Graziano and Meri Curtin notched two goals each for the Minutemen (1-1).

Moorestown 5, Mountain Lakes 3

Sarah Bedard scored two goals and Natalie LaBeau added a score for the Lakers against the defending state champs. Goalkeeper Julie Krupnick stopped seven shots in a game that was played in Moorestown. The Quakers led 5-1 at the half.

Mountain Lakes falls to 0-2 on the season.

Westfield 11, Morristown 10, OT

The teams played to a 9-9 tie in regulation. The Blue Devils’ Hannah Liddy scored six goals including both overtime scores.

Allie Ferrara scored five goals including her 200th career goals and 300th career point. Annika Begley added two goals for the Colonials.

Saddle River Day 10, Montville 6

The Mustangs are 1-1. Claudia Trionfo scored four goals and Kelsey Perretta and Zoe Tabakin also tallied.

Mount Olive 12, West Milford 2

Sarah McEvoy scored five times to pace the Marauders in their opening day victory. Gina Verrone added three goals and two assists and Amber Gonzalez scored twice for Mount Olive.

Mahwah 12, West Morris 9

Sarah Frankovic and Allison Wagner fired hat tricks for the Wolfpack (0-2).

Roxbury 12, Pascack Valley 7

Emily Koepfer scored four times to propel the Gaels. Emma Karnitsky added a hat trick for Roxbury. The Gaels (1-1) opened the game with a 9-1 run over the first 15 minutes of the contest.

Randolph 17, Livingston 4

Taralyn Naslonski and Jillian Whiting each had four goals and an assist to lift the Rams. Kelly McGinniss and Natalie Panvini posted hat tricks and Megan Eberly added two goals. Goalies Sutton Todd and Kayla Legatt shared 15 saves.
