Kinnelon, Boonton boys win; Mo-Beard girls take Prep B


John Belanger and Joe Neggia scored twice and Steve Landspurg added a goal and two assists to lift Kinnelon to a 9-7 victory over Glen Ridge in boys lacrosse action on Monday. Kinnelon led 5-3 at the half and held on for the win.

Boonton 10, Edison 6

Drew Recchia scored four goals and Dan Van Hook added a goal and two assists to fuel the Bombers triumph. Joe North added two goals for Boonton. Trailing 5-2 at half, the Bombers took the lead with a 6-0 third-quarter run.

Johnson 14, Madison 13, OT

The teams were tied 8-8 after three quarters then endured a wild fourth-quarter offensive explosion in which 10 goals were scored between the two teams.

Mount Olive 13, Roxbury 5

Mark Laratta had six goals and three assists to power the Marauders. Matt Sanchez scored three times and Alex Maya added a goal and two assists for Mount Olive. The Marauders scored six second-quarter goals to take an 8-3 halftime lead.

Kittatinny 9, Jefferson 3

The Cougars led 6-2 at the half.

Morris Hills 9, North Warren 7

Zach Berkowitz scored six times and also notched an assist for the Scarlet Knights. Derek Zacatenco had three assists and Tom Cangelosi, Elijah Welchel and Conor Pelkey added goals for Morris Hills.

Pequannock 13, Park Regional 6

Dan Duffy scored five goals to lift the Golden Panthers. Tyler Macejka registered a hat trick, Hunter Soden scored twice and Bryan Peters had a goal and four assists for Pequannock. Kevin Goettlien had two goals and one assist for Park.


Prep B Final

Morristown-Beard 13, Newark Academy 12

Meg Damstrom scored four goals to lift the Crimson to the Prep B title in Livingston. Carolyn Chambers fired a hat trick and goalie Kiki Fitzgerald stopped nine shots to give Morristown-Beard the title.

Regular season

Pequannock 15, Wayne Valley 4

Alyssa Tachon scored five goals and dished an assist to spark the Golden Panthers. Danielle Musto added four goals and two assists and Arden Kassaleh had two goals and three assists for Pequannock.

Roxbury 17, West Milford 11

Jamie Kendelski scored five times and Amanda Beal had four goals to propel the Gaels. Chelsea Artigliere had three goals and three assists for Roxbury. The Gaels started the game with a 6-0 run.

Morris Catholic 11, Jefferson 9

Haley Driscoll and Taylor Shannahan scored four goals apiece to spark the Crusaders. Kara Hodapp had a hat trick for the Falcons. A 5-2 second half effort was the difference for the Crusaders.

Villa Walsh 18, Sparta 11

The Vikings pulled away with a 10-4 second-half run. The Vikings improve to 11-5 overall.

Mahwah 10, Montville 7

The Mustangs drop to 11-5.
