Pequannock girls earn MCT victory; Mo-Beard advances in Prep


Danielle Musto had four goals and two assists to spark Pequannock to a 15-0 win over Morris Hills in preliminary round Morris County Tournament girls lacrosse play on Tuesday.

Arden Kassaleh had four goals and an assist and Alyssa Tachon and Lauren Burklow scored two goals apiece for 14th-seeded Pequannock. The Golden Panthers will play Chatham in the opening round.


Morristown-Beard 18, Rutgers Prep 6

Chelsea Howarth scored five goals to lead the Crimson in Prep B Tournament action.

Katie Hunt had two goals and four assists and Jill Burke and Meg Damstrom fired hat tricks for Morristown-Beard.

The Crimson took over early with an 11-2 run in the first half.

Regular Season

Morris Catholic 14, Saddle River Day 7

Senior midfielder Taylor Shannahan scored four goals including her 100th career goal for the Crusaders. Hayley Driscoll had three goals and two assists and Lexi Finn had two goals and five assists for Morris Catholic, which outscored its opponents 7-1 in the second half.

Mount Olive 12, West Milford 4

Claire Callaghan scored five times and Sarah McEvoy and Kelly Mellusi each put in a pair of goals for the Marauders.

Pope John 14, Boonton 12

Meghan Mollahan had six goals and two assists and Brianna Frias had a hat trick for the Bombers.

Kittatinny 16, Park Regional 8

Melissa Wamp had six goals and one assist for Park.


Boonton 15, Passaic Valley 2

Drew Recchia had five goals and an assist to lift Boonton. Dan Van Hook and Joe Norton also had four goal games for the Bombers (5-9).

Montville 10, Glen Rock 9

The win lifts the Mustangs to 7-5 on the season.
