Mo-Beard boys, Jefferson girls continue unbeaten runs

Teddy Hatfield scored eight times to lift Morristown-Beard to a 16-8 triumph over Mount Olive in boys lacrosse action on Monday. Thomas Rago added four goals for the unbeaten Crimson (12-0). A 5-1 fourth-quarter spree cinched it for Morristown-Beard. Mark Laratta fired a hat trick for the Marauders.

Mendham 14, Vernon 1

The Minutemen took an 8-0 lead at the half to earn the road victory. Tyler Morel scored four goals and Ross Coapman and Blaze Smith registered hat tricks, many from Chandler Avallone’s seven assists. The Minutemen are 5-4.

Pequannock 16, North Warren 5

The Golden Panthers used a 6-0 second quarter to build a 10-1 halftime advantage. Bryan Peters had two goals and four assists and Tyler Macejka fired a hat trick for Pequannock (9-4).

Morris Hills 16, Newton 4

Zach Berkowitz scored six goals including his 100th varsity goal for the Scarlet Knights. Derek Zacetanco had five goals and three assists and Tom Cangelosi had two goals and two assists for Morris Hills. The Scarlet Knights scored the first three goals of the game and built a 9-3 edge at the half.

Kinnelon 5, West Morris 4

The Colts scored a pair of fourth-quarter goals to earn a come-from-behind triumph. Kinnelon is 7-3 on the season.

Mountain Lakes 12, Morristown 4

Christian Cuccinello and Zander Kotsen each had two goals and two assists and Brad Landry and Chris Sammarro scored two goals each for the Lakers. Mountain Lakes took control with a 7-0 second half run.

St Augustine 6, Chatham 5

The Cougars led 5-4 after three quarters. St. Augustine rallied in the fourth quarter for a road win.

Roxbury 6, Morris Knolls 4

Steve Ruffin and Rob Galgano scored two goals apiece to lift the Gaels (10-3). Arthur Warden added a pair of assists and goalkeeper Ryan Sanderson stopped 11 shots.

Boonton 9, Morris Catholic 6

The Bombers led 5-2 at the half. Drew Recchia scored four goals and Joe Norton had two goals and an assist for Boonton.

GIRLS

Sparta 15, Roxbury 6

The Spartans took control with a 7-2 first-half effort. Kayla Lucia scored twice for the Gaels.

Morristown 18, Millburn 13

Meddy Heher, Casey O’Brien and Meghan Siverson each had four goals in the Colonials’ triumph. Morristown led 13-6 at the half.

Jefferson 13, St. Elizabeth 2

Kara Hodapp had five goals and one assist in the Falcons’ triumph. Kendra Nolan had three goals and two assists and Danielle Pini scored twice. The win lifts Jefferson to 11-0. Megan Dowd and Emilia Scalaro connected for the Panthers.

Madison 18, Glen Rock 5

The Dodgers led 13-4 at the half.

Caldwell 16, Kinnelon 15

Talia Price scored a game high six goals for the Colts. Kinnelon rallied with a 10-6 second-half effort.

Summit 17, West Morris 5

Chelsea Orban scored twice for the Wolfpack. Summit led 8-3 at the half.
