Shannahan’s 5-goal outing sparks Morris Catholic

Senior midfielder Taylor Shannahan had five goals and two assists to lift Morris Catholic to a 15-5 triumph over Roxbury in girls lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Freshman kiddie Haley Driscoll and sophomore middie Rachel Mills each had hat tricks and Sarah Shirkey scored twice. Goalkeeper Katherine Posada stopped 15 shots. Morris Catholic started the game with a 5-0 run which included a pair of goals by Shannahan and Mills. The Crusaders led 9-3 at the half. Morris Catholic improved to 7-4 on the season.

Sophomore Chelsea Artigliere and senior Amanda Beal both had a pair of goals and senior midfielder Katie Cikovski scored once for Roxbury (3-8).

Morris Knolls 20, Randolph 9

Giulia Vitolo had five goals and three assists and Bridget Francisco had a hat trick and Krista Mitarotonda added two goals and three assists for the Golden Eagles. Kelly McGinniss scored six times for the Rams. Morris Knolls led 15-4 at the half.

Mountain Lakes 21, Glen Ridge 16

Victoria Kalamaras registered seven goals and three assists to pace the Lakers. Jackie Perry scored six times and Granger Rosati fired a hat trick for the Lakers. Mountain Lakes led 10-8 at the half.

Villa Walsh 18, Columbia 12

Christina Pallitto cranked out eight goals to lift the Vikings. Lauren Longo added three goals and Caroline Gannon scored twice for Villa Walsh. The Vikings led 11-7 at the break.

Morristown-Beard 14, Scotch Plains 13

Alissa Masini registered six goals and three assists and Jill Burke and Emma Polaski fired hat tricks for the Crimson.

Westfield 16, West Morris 15

Julia Radossich and Sydney Sapir scored four goals apiece and Sarah Frankovic scored three goals and dished out two assists.

Caldwell 15, Madison 14

Ari Goret and Molly Fishter scored four goals apiece for the Dodgers. Lexie Sodano scored six goals including a pair in the final minutes to rally the Chiefs.

Summit 14, Mendham 4

Becky Gohsler scored all four goals for the Minutemen.

West Essex 13, Chatham 7

Maggie O’Neill had four goals and an assist for the Cougars. The Knights led 8-2 at the half.

Indian Hills 10, Pequannock 9

Alyssa Tachon scored four goals and Danielle Musto and Arden Kassaleh scored two goals each for the Golden Panthers.

Verona 19, Kinnelon 16

Talia Price had six goals and Victoria Bobinski scored four goals for the Colts. The Hillbillies had a 9-4 lead at the half.
