Delbarton edges ML; Jefferson, West Morris earn wins

Midfielder and face-off specialist Conor Mackie scored with four seconds remaining to give Delbarton a 12-11 triumph over Mountain Lakes in boys lacrosse action on Saturday.

Jordan Dowiak scored five times to pace the Green Wave (6-2). J.J. McBride fired a hat trick and added three assists. His last goal tied the game at 11-all with 1:00 left in regulation. He also assisted on the game winner from Mackie which was a righty shot from the top of the box.

Senior midfielder Christian Cuccinello scored three goals and Zander Kotsen also had a hat trick for the Lakers. Zach Lesko and Brad Landry each had a pair of goals for Mountain Lakes (7-2).

Jefferson 7, Vernon 6

Brendan Gill fired a hat trick and Peyton Fasse notched a pair of goals for the Falcons.

West Morris 14, Caldwell 7

Matt Carfaro had four goals and two assists and Jeremy Angle scored four times to lift the Wolfpack. Ryan Muscatella added two goals and three assists for West Morris (6-3). The Wolfpack used a 7-goal second quarter to take a 9-2 halftime advantage.

Randolph 7, North Hunterdon 6

Mike Turner, J. P. Southren and T. J. Lindquist scored two goals apiece. Randolph is 5-5.

Seton Hall Prep 10, Mendham 4

Senior midfielder Will Robinson scored twice and Chandler Avallone and Tim Gillespie added goals for Mendham.

West Milford 16, Boonton 3

Drew Recchia scored twice and Nick Lourick tallied for the Bombers.

Holmdel 6, Pequannock 5

Liam Lilienthal scored twice and Dan Duffy, Bryan Peters and Hunter Soden also connected for the Golden Panthers (6-3).

Kinnelon 8, Wayne Valley 5

The Colts pulled away with a 3-1 second-half edge. Steve Landspurg scored four times and Joe Neggia added a pair of goals for Kinnelon (5-2).

Montville 6, Oratory Prep 3

Graham Jespersen and Tom Bauer both registered two goals and one assist for the Mustangs. Tyler Chin and Niko Del Moro also tallied and face-off midfielder Jake Drexl won 11 of 13 draws.

Girls

Victoria Kalamaras had three goals and two assists to lift Mountain Lakes to a 6-5 triumph over Ridge.

Meredith Newfrock, Jackie Perry and Granger Rosati added goals for the Lakers. Mountain Lakes led 5-1 at the half and then repelled a late Ridge threat.

Kinnelon 16, Vernon 5

Talia Price had three goals and three assists to pace the Colts. Twin sisters Ashley and Victoria Bobinski also registered hat tricks and Allie Rosenberg, Izzy Berezni and Jamie Lewit added two goals apiece.
