Mo-Beard boys, Jefferson girls remain unbeaten

Junior attackman Teddy Hatfield scored seven goals and added an assist to lift Morristown-Beard to a 15-5 triumph over Sparta in boys lacrosse action on Thursday.

Thomas Rago and Chris Glancy had two goals and two assists apiece. Trevor Baptiste also scored twice and won 19 of 24 face-offs for the Crimson.

Morristown-Beard led 8-1 at the half with the help of a Hatfield goal that came with :01.9 seconds left in the second quarter. The Crimson led by as much as 13-2 early in the fourth quarter.

Montville 12, Randolph 5

Niko Del Moro scored five goals in the Mustangs’ triumph. Graham Jesperson and Tyler Chin each registered hat tricks for Montville, which rallied from a 4-2 halftime deficit. T. J. Lindquist and Jake Southren each scored twice for the Rams.

Morris Hills 17, Morris Catholic 10

Zach Berkowitz had five goals and three assists to lift the Scarlet Knights. Tom Cangelosi added five goals and Derek Zacatenco had two goals and four assists for Morris Hills.

Pequannock 17, Morris Knolls 6

Hunter Soden had five goals and two assists and Liam Lilienthal had five goals and one assist for the Golden Panthers. Dan Duffy had four goals, Bryan Peters had a goal and six assists and Tyler Macejka had a goal and four assists. Pequannock outscored its opponents 9-1 in the second half. Sean Statlander had a hat trick for Morris Knolls.

Kinnelon 6, Morristown 3

Joe Neggia scored twice to lift the Colts. Robert Lewis added a goal and an assist in a defensive minded contest. Kinnelon led 4-0 at the half. Brian Begley, Chris Drake and Dan Delargy connected for the Colonials.

Delbarton 10, West Morris 4

J.J. McBride had three goals and three assists to lift the Green Wave. Jack Crowley also had a hat trick for Delbarton. Jeremy Angle scored twice for the Wolfpack. Ryan Muscatella and Matt Carfaro also added goals for West Morris.

Roxbury 11, Jefferson 3

Phil Caltagirone scored six goals to fuel the Gaels triumph. Cole Skelly added two goals and Will Doran notched a pair of assists for Roxbury. The Gaels led 7-2 at the half.

Mendham 7, Mount Olive 2

Ross Coapman fired a hat trick for the Minutemen. Chandler Avallone added a goal and two assists. Mendham built a 5-0 lead by halftime. Matthew Sanchez scored twice for the Marauders.

Chatham 8, Madison 3

David Gill scored four goals in the Cougars’ triumph. Austin Pierce, Will Barnett, Scott Lynch and Thomas Berger added tallies for Chatham. A. J. Schmitz, Andrew Kaye and Vince Sapio connected for the Dodgers.

Governor Livingston 11, Park Regional 8

The contest was tied at 8-all going into the final quarter.

Girls

Boonton 13, Morris Hills 10, OT

Meghan Mollahan had seven goals and an assist to lift the Bombers in overtime. Briana Frias added a hat trick and Emily Sorochynskyj had two goals and two assists for Boonton. Kellyann Gangaware and Kyleigh Miller earned hat tricks for the Scarlet Knights.

Jefferson 14, High Point 3

Kendra Nolan scored five goals and Kara Hodapp had four goals and three assists for the Falcons. Sam Holeritter had a goal and an assists to lift unbeaten Jefferson (7-0). The Falcons led 12-1 at the half.

Mount Olive 10, Vernon 9 

Sarah McEvoy scored six goals and Claire Callaghan had a goal and three assists for the Marauders. The contest was tied 5-5 at the half.

Mountain Lakes 10, West Essex 5

Nicole Kalamaras fired a hat trick including the eventual game-winning goal for the Lakers. Mountain Lakes pulled away with a 6-2 second-half effort.
