Mountain Lakes girls defeat Mendham, 10-6

Mountain Lakes defeated Mendham 10-6 in girls lacrosse on Monday at the Minutemen’s upper grass fields. The win lifts the Lakers to 5-1 on the season. The Minutemen drop to 2-2.

Victoria Kalamaras had three goals and one assist and Jackie Perry scored three goals to lift Mountain Lakes. Hannah Crook, Nicole Kalamaras, Granger Rosati and Rachel Treweke also scored goals for the Lakers.

Becky Gohsler fired a hat trick and Christine Long, Kira Lopes and Carlye Maita scored goals for the Minutemen. Mountain Lakes led 6-4 at the half.

The teams played each other on grass for the first time in years because the Mendham turf field is being resurfaced.

Chatham 7, Oak Knoll 6, OT

Bridget Ballard fired a hat trick including the game winning goal with 14 seconds left in overtime and Emily Wingate had two goals and one assist for the Cougars. Maddy Bowles and Beth Kuyk added goals and keeper Gislina Saul had nine saves for Chatham.

Morris Catholic 11, Kinnelon 7

Lexi Finn had four goals and six assists and Taylor Shannahan fired a hat trick for the Crusaders. Victoria Bobinski fired a hat trick and Ashley Bobinski had two goals and one assist for the Colts.

Morristown 20, Cranford 1

Casey O’Brian had six goals and four assists and Allie Ferrara had five goals and four assists for the Colonials.

Glen Ridge 7, West Morris 5

Paige Burton scored twice and Sarah Frankovic, Mackenzle Metzler and Sydney Sapir added goals for the Wolfpack.

Indian Hills 14, Morris Knolls 13

Giulia Vitolo had four goals and two assists and Jacie Cooper scored three times for the Golden Eagles.

Montville 12, New Providence 11

Nicole Dvoretsky scored six goals and Abby Haimson had five goals and three assists for the Mustangs. Montville led 8-7 at the half.

Roxbury 9, Montclair Kimberley 8, 2OT

Kayla Lucia scored five goals and Amanda Beal had a hat trick including the game-winning overtime goal for the Gaels.

Pequannock 13, Holy Angels 7

Danielle Musto scored five times and Alyssa Tachon had four goals for the Golden Panthers. Jess Carbone and Arden Kassaleh added two goals apiece for Pequannock.

Villa Walsh 18, Scotch Plains 6

The Vikings pulled away with 10 second-half goals. Taylor Medd scored six times and Christina Pallitto registered a hat trick for Villa Walsh.

BOYS

Roxbury 16, River Dell 5

Grant Dixon scored three goals and Arthur Warden had two goals and two assists in the Gaels victory.
