West Morris edges Morristown; Kinnelon, Pequannock win

Matt Carfaro had three goals and one assist to lift West Morris to a 9-7 victory over Morristown in boys lacrosse action on Thursday.

Matt Pruss had two goals and one assist and Jeremy Angle, Griff Maroney and Ryan Muscatella also tallied for the Wolfpack. Brian Begley and Dan DeLargy scored two goals each for the Colonials.

Kinnelon 11, Madison 5

Joe Neggia had five goals and two assists and Nick Labanca had two goals and one assist for the Colts. Christian Scarpello and Vince Sapio had two goals each for the Dodgers. Kinnelon pulled away with a 5-1 effort in the second half.

Pequannock 13, Pope John 7

Liam Lilienthal had four goals and two assists to fuel the Golden Panthers. Dan Duffy had three goals and three assists, Bryan Peters fired a hat trick and Tyler Macejka had one goal and five assists for Pequannock. The Golden Panthers outscored the Lions 10-6 in the second half.

Morris Knolls 12, Governor Livingston 8

Shane Dougherty had five goals and one assist and Sean Statlander and Sean Lorenz each scored twice for the Golden Eagles.

Roxbury 12, Park Regional 6

Arthur Warden had a hat trick and Will Doran and Dave Blank scored two goals each for the Gaels.

A 5-goal fourth quarter helped Roxbury pull away.

Boonton 14, High Point 2

Drew Recchia had three goals and two assists to pace the Bombers. Joe Norton also registered a hat trick and Dan Van Hook, Nick Lourick and Sean Durkin each scored a pair of goals for Boonton.

Boonton led 10-1 at the half.

Morristown-Beard 9, Mendham 8

Trevor Baptiste won 19 of 20 draws and scored the game-winning goal with 54 seconds left in regulation. Baptiste and Teddy Hatfield fired hat tricks and Thomas Rago had a goal and four assists for the Crimson. Drew Robshaw registered a hat trick, Tim Gillespie had two goals and one assist and Chandler Avallone had a goal and three assists for the Minutemen.

GIRLS

Jefferson 16, Park Regional 1

Kara Hodapp scored seven goals and Danielle Pini had three goals and three assists for the Falcons.

Pope John 12, Mount Olive 8

Sarah McEvoy had three goals and two assists and Deanna Spagnola added a goal and two assists for the Marauders.

Morris Hills 9, St. Elizabeth 2

Kyleigh Miller scored four times and Kellyanne Gangaware added a pair of goals for the Scarlet Knights. Panthers goalie Gianna Falcone stopped 13 shots.
