Delbarton edges Summit; Mt. Lakes, Mt. Olive triumph

Austin Williams scored the eventual game-winning goal in Delbarton’s 9-8 victory over rival Summit in boys lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Tommy Fowler scored five goals, Dillon Confalone scored twice and Kevin Lewis had three assists for the unbeaten Green Wave (8-0).

Delbarton scored four third-quarter goals to take an 8-4 edge going into the final period. The Hilltoppers rallied late. Austin Carbone had three goals and four assists and Matt Maier had a hat trick for Summit (8-2).

Mountain Lakes 15, St. Joseph’s (Metuchen) 5

The Lakers vaulted to an 8-0 first-quarter advantage. Chris Sammaro fired a hat trick and Christian Cuccinello and Mike Sammaro had two goals and one assist for Mountain Lakes (6-1).

Montville 12, Wayne Valley 11

The Mustangs took an 11-7 lead going into the fourth quarter and held on for the win. Jake Haimson had five goals and one assist and Niko DelMoro had four goals and one assist.

Mount Olive 14, Lenape Valley 8

The Marauders remain unbeaten. Eric Weiss had five goals and two assists and Chris Sanchez had four goals and four assists to pace Mount Olive (9-0). The Marauders led the Patriots 8-5 at the half.

A.L. Johnson 6, Morristown 5

Mike Lopez fired a hat trick and Brian Begley scored twice for Morristown (3-5).
