Mountain Lakes girls, Pequannock boys remain unbeaten


Victoria Kalamaras and Jackie Perry scored four goals each to lift Mountain Lakes to a 13-11 victory over West Essex in girls lacrosse action. Maddie Siebold added a pair of goals for unbeaten Mountain Lakes (9-0).

Morristown 20, Mount Olive 14

An 11-5 second-half run sparked the Colonials. Brady Heher paced Morristown with eight goals. Sarah McEvoy and Francesca Verrone scored five goals each for Mount Olive.

Montville 14, Morris Catholic 12

Abby Haimson had seven goals and three assists to fuel the Mustangs. Nicole Dvoretsky added six goals and one assist for Montville (7-2). The Mustangs built a 10-4 halftime advantage and held on to earn the win. Rachel Mills and Lexi Finn added hat tricks for the Crusaders (5-5).

Madison 12, Villa Walsh 11, 2 OT

Michelle Montagna and Ali Jago scored overtime goals to lift the Dodgers. Montagna and Brynn Taylor scored three goals each and Jago added a pair for Madison (8-2). Taylor Medd and Christina Pallitto fired hat tricks and Candace Pallitto and Lucia Smircich scored two goals apiece for Villa Walsh (8-2).

Roxbury 15, Pequannock 14

Joelle Manganella scored with less than eight seconds remaining to lift the Gaels. Manganella sparked the come-from-behind victory with five goals and three assists. Ashley Tachon scored nine goals for the Golden Panthers (3-6). The Gaels are 6-3.

Mendham 17, West Morris 6

Becky Gohsler scored six times and teammates Mariah Salerno, Gia Padavano and Christie Long added hat tricks for the Minutemen (7-3). Julia Radossich scored twice for the Highlanders (2-8).

Boys Lacrosse

Pequannock 12, Wayne Valley 11

Taylor Macejka scored the game-winning goal with 35 seconds left. Macejka had five goals and three assists and Liam Lilienthal had four goals and one assist for the Golden Panthers (9-0).

Kinnelon 11, Northern Highlands 3

Brian Gnad had three goals and two assists and Ryan O’Keefe fired a hat trick for the Colts. Robert Lewis added a goal and four assist for Kinnelon which led 9-1 at the half.

Morris Hills 7, Hanover Regional 6, 2OT

Conor Pelkey scored the game-winning and game-tying goals for the Scarlet Knights. Morris Hills rallied from a 6-3 fourth-quarter deficit. Pelkey had three goals and Tom Cangelosi had one goal and two assists for Morris Hills (6-3).

Madison 13, Montclair Kimberley 6

Christian Scarpello had three goals and five assists and Colin Scarpello had three goals and one assist for the Dodgers (7-3). Madison took control early and led 8-2 at the half.

North Hunterdon 11, Jefferson 2

The Falcons are winless at 0-8.
