Delbarton triumphs; Boonton girls rally to victory


Jordan Dowiak and Dillon Confalone scored two goals apiece to lift Delbarton to an 8-7 triumph over Seton Hall Prep in boys lacrosse action on Thursday.

Delbarton led 5-2 at the half and 6-4 after three quarters. Matt Killian, Grant VanFossan, Kevin Lewis and Tommy Fowler each scored goals for the Green Wave (4-0).

Pequannock 10, Lenape Valley 9

Freshman Dan Duffy scored twice including the winning goal with 1.1 seconds remaining for the Golden Panthers. Ryan Vanbochoven scored four goals and Liam Lilienthal fired a hat trick for Pequannock. Curt Thomson had 12 saves including a pont blank one late in the contest. Kyle Shannon had a hat trick for Lenape Valley.

Mount Olive 11, North Warren 6

Eric Weiss had four goals and Alec Oriolo and Mark Laratta fired hat tricks for the Marauders (4-0). Mount Olive took a 6-2 lead at the half and maintained an advantage the rest of the way.

Roxbury 4, Warren Hills 3

Phil Caltigarone scored twice and Dan Sheehan and Wil Doran added goals for the Gaels (3-2). Ryan Sanderson stopped 12 of 16 shots for Roxbury.

Mendham 11, Holmdel 5

Will Robinson scored five goals and Tim Lewis had four to fuel the Minutemen. Mendham got off to a 6-1 first-quarter advantage. Chandler Avallone and Jeff Morris also scored goals for the Minutemen (1-4).

Morris Knolls 13, West Orange 4

Andrew Consales had five goals and Robert McCormick added three to pace the Golden Eagles. Jon Engels also notched a pair for Morris Knolls. The Golden Eagles finished the game with five consecutive goals.

Hanover Regional 8, Morris Catholic 3

Seth Wadleigh had four goals and Scott Kenney added two goals for Park (1-3).

Millburn 11, Randolph 6

Kurt Naslonski had four goals and Stefan Tamminga and Matt Cohn also tallied for the Rams (1-4).

Bernards 12, Madison 7

Christian Scarpello had four goals and one assist and Alan Schmitz, Collin Scarpello and Andrew Kaye added goals for the Dodgers (3-2).


Boonton 10, Newark Academy 9

Scores by Meghan Mollahan and Humaa Sheikh in the final 30 seconds of regulation lifted the Bombers. Mollahan’s scored with 16 seconds left provided the game-winning goal. Sheikh scored four times and Mollahan and Julie Agresti each scored twice for Boonton (2-3).

Hanover Regional 16, Passaic Valley 5

Melissa Wamp scored nine goals and Katie Hunt fired a hat trick for Park (2-2). Hanover Regional took control with a 9-2 first-half effort.

Morris Hills 15, West Milford 7 

The Scarlet Knights led 11-3 at the half. Casey Lyness and Ashley Lovenberg scored four goals each. Gabriela Perruso fired a hat trick and Danielle Aihini scored twice for Morris Hills (3-1). West Milford a first-year varsity program is still winless.

Jefferson 13, Vernon 9

The Falcons improve to 5-0. Kara Hodapp scored six goals and Danielle Pini fired a hat trick for Jefferson, which led 8-5 at the half.

Morristown-Beard 12, Pope John 6

Chelsea Kramer had four goals and Carolyn Chambers had two goals and two assists for the Crimson. Emily Kellogg and Jill Burke each scored twice for Morristown-Beard (4-1).

Kittatinny 14, St. Elizabeth 11

Alex Dibrigida scored eight times an Carolyn Byrnes scored twice for the Panthers (1-4).
