Chatham girls rock; ML boys roll

Lauren Maiorano had five goals and two assists to lift Chatham to an 11-10 victory over Glen Ridge in girls lacrosse action on Wednesday.

The Cougars led 8-4 and survived a furious second half rally to earn the win. Kristen Maiorano and Maddy Bowles added two goals each to lift Chatham (3-2).

West Morris 15, Morris Knolls 13

Sydney Sapir scored eight times and Vanessa Reig fired a hat trick to lift the Highlanders. West Morris rallied from a halftime deficit with a 12-8 second-half effort. Shaina Gilmore had five goals and Haleigh Schroth added four goals for the Golden Eagles (1-4). The win lifts West Morris to 1-4.

Mountain Lakes 10, Summit 9, 3OT

The Lakers remain unbeaten at 5-0. Victoria Kalamaras scored four goals and Allie LaBeau and Megan Ryan notched two goals apiece.

Pequannock 15, North Warren 5

Jessica Rigoglioso scored six times, Ashley Tachon had four goals and Alyssa Tachon added a hat trick for the Golden Panthers (2-2).

West Essex 10, Mendham 9

Becky Gohsler scored five goals and Devon Russell added a goal and an assist for the Minutemen. The close contest was tied 4-4 at the half.

Madison 16, Union Catholic 1

It was all Dodgers, which took a 13-1 lead at the half. Brynne Taylor scored four goals. Michelle Montagna and Molly Fishter each scored hat tricks for Madison (4-1).

Morristown 8, Northern Highlands 5

The Colonials are on a roll. Casey O’Brien had three goals and Allie Ferrera added a pair for Morristown (3-1).

Montville 12, Glen Rock 10

Abby Haimson had four goals and two assists, Nicole Dvoretsky added four goals and Ashley Bello scored three times for the Mustangs (3-1).

Morris Catholic 11, Ramapo 8

Taylor Shannahan had four goals and Rachel Canning and Amanda Migoya had two goals apiece for the Crusaders. Morris Catholic led 7-4 at the half.

Kent Place 15, Kinnelon 13

The Colts drop to 0-5.

BOYS LACROSSE

Mountain Lakes 6, Ridgewood 4

Christian Cuccinello scored twice and Jared Bernstein stopped 11 shots in the Lakers triumph. Brad Smith, Chris Sammaro, Spencer Herman and Mike Sammaro also had goals for unbeaten Mountain Lakes (2-0).

Kittatinny 9, Boonton 2

Joe Norton and Drew Recchia connected for the Bombers (2-2).

Don Bosco Prep 9, Kinnelon 7

Dom Usinowicz and Steve Landsberg scored two goals apiece for the Colts (1-3).
