Boonton, Jefferson girls enjoy narrow victories

Humaa Sheikh had three goals and two assists to lift Boonton to a 10-8 overtime triumph over Morris Hills on Friday.

Christiana Lozano and Natasha Martinez scored two goals apiece for the Bombers which earned their first victory of the season. The contest was tied 7-7 at the end of regulation. Boonton outscored Morris Hills 3-1 in overtime. Ashley Lovenberg fired a hat trick for the Scarlet Knights (1-1).

Jefferson 11, Pope John 10 – Kara Hodapp and Darby Nolan registered hat tricks for the Falcons. Hannah Najafi and Kendra Nolan added two goals apiece for Jefferson (3-0). Mairi Brooks scored five goals for Pope John (1-1).

Morristown-Beard 15, West Milford 5 – The Crimson led 7-0 at the half. Morristown-Beard improves to 2-1.

St. Elizabeth 12, Park Regional 4 – Carolyn Byrnes scored eight goals for the Panthers. St. Elizabeth led 5-1 at the half and maintained their advantage the rest of the way. Melissa Wamp and Katie Hunt scored two goals each for Park (1-1).
