Mendham, West Morris, Mountain Lakes, Chatham triumph

Victories by Mendham and West Morris set up a North Group III showdown on Thursday between the sister school rivals. Mountain Lakes and Chatham were also victorious in sectional semifinals on Tuesday.

Group III

Mendham 15, West Windsor North 4 – Nicole Graziano had five goals and one assist and Ally Messinger and Gia Padavino fired hat tricks for the Minutemen. The Morris County Tournament champions are 19-1.

West Morris 21, Vernon 18 – The Wolfpack prevailed in a shootout on Tuesday. Carly Shello had three goals and five assists, Emily Delaney scored five goals and Michaela Domaratzky scored for goals for West Morris. Jess Mills had six goals and Leslie Werner scored five goals.

Group II

Chatham 15, Mahwah 1 – The Cougars had little problem advancing to the North Group II final. Jaclyn Leto had three goals and three assists and Kelsey Perselay had three goals and three assists for Chatham. The Cougars will play next door neighbor Summit, a 10-8 winner over West  Essex on Thursday.

Group I

Mountain Lakes 16, Kent Place 8 – The Lakers proved to be road warriors. Casey Drollinger had four goals and one assist and Ingrid Hermanson and Hallie Walker had two goals apiece. Third-seeded Mountain Lakes will travel to face top-seeded Glen Ridge on Thursday in the North, Group I final.
